The Six Suns of the Living Cosmos [Arkatos]

The Living Cosmos, Lord of Life, the True Sun.
The First of the Lesser Cosmos, Lord of the Void, the Formless Sun.
The Second of the Lesser Cosmos, Lord of the Flame, the Fire Sun.
The Third of the Lesser Cosmos, Lord of the Mountain, the Earthen Sun.
The Fourth of the Lesser Cosmos, Lord of the Wind, the Gale Sun.
The Fifth of the Lesser Cosmos, Lord of the Ocean, the Water Sun.
The Sixth of the Lesser Cosmos, Lord of all beneath the Sun, the Jaguar Emperor.

Summary

In the beginning existed a singular being, a cosmos of consciousness, will, and unimaginable energy.
With a whim, this Living Cosmos separated space from itself and in doing so created the First of the Lesser Cosmos to rule over this new void.
Within this void, the Living Cosmos conjured a ball of light and exploding energy, the First of the Lesser Cosmos turned away as its void was consumed by matter, and thus the Second of the Lesser Cosmos was born to rule over the fiery heat and light of this new star.
The Living Cosmos turned away from those blinding lights, from nothing, the Living Cosmos stitched together the first planet. The Second of the Lesser Cosmos turned away as the remains of its creations were consumed by the formation of the planet, and thus the Third of the Lesser Cosmos was born to rule over the tiny planet.
Upon one such pebble, the Second and Third of the Lesser Cosmos met and from their union rose the first puffs of atmosphere. The Living Cosmos was overjoyed as it watched the birth of the Fourth of the Lesser Cosmos, to rule over the torrents of swirling air.
Upon this same planet, during the same union of the Second and Third of the Lesser Cosmos, another creation happened. The Fifth of the Lesser Cosmos was born as the first trickles of liquid began to spread. The Living Cosmos was proud, and it watched as the Fifth of the Lesser Cosmos took up it's rule over all that flowed like water.
The Living Cosmos called out to the Lesser, a call to meet with it beyond the reaches of the First -- beyond the bounds of the universe. Each of the Lesser Cosmos brought a gift, and each gave this gift as tribute to their creator. Using these gifts, the Living Cosmos created the Sixth of the Lesser Cosmos. The first human.
The Sixth of the Lesser Cosmos did as the others, using the energy it was given from the Living Cosmos to fuel the creation of other, lesser beings. The Sixth of the Lesser Cosmos would come to be known as the Jaguar Emperor, and he would create the first village to dot the planet; Arkatos.

Historical Basis

The Emperor of Arkatos, known only as the Jaguar Emperor, is said to be the Sixth of the Lesser Cosmos. Hundreds of relics depicting the myth tales of the Six Suns have been discovered dating into the Dark Era.

Worship of the Six Suns is the primary form of worship practiced within Arkatos.

Variations & Mutation

Due to the decentralized nature of polytheistic religions, it is very likely many of the villages have, at least slight, variants of the same basic story.

Cultural Reception

The Tribes which neighbor Arkatos hold a very similar system of belief.

In Literature

Many books exist reciting the ancient myths spread at the beginning of the Jaguar Emperor's reign as emperor. Hundreds of poems, songs, and hymns have been written to favor at least one of the Lesser Cosmos.

In Art

Paintings depicting the many wars that the religion centers around are some of the oldest paintings found by any within Arkatos.
