Mars Orbital Station
Mars Orbital Station is a space station located in Mars' orbit. It serves as the command post of the Mars Defence Forces (MDF) as well as the main base of the Sol Patrol Fleet. It is also the main transportation hub for Mars. Additionally, in an event that the governor of the Mars Colony would have to be evacuated, the station would serve as their temporary office and home until it would be safe for them to return to the planet.
Facilities
Martian Marketplace
Though not as big as the Sol Marketplace on Earth Orbital Station, the Martian Marketplace is still an important trade hub. Not only it allows the inhabitants of the station and its visitors to buy what they need, it also serves as an important transit port for goods going to and from Earth.
Civilian Terminal
The same as every other station, the Mars Orbital Station has a civilian terminal that acts as the main transportation hub for the planet below. The Martian Terminal is the second biggest one, after the Earth Terminal, in the Sol System.
Mars Orbital Control
Mars Orbital Control is responsible for regulating the traffic around the station and planet as well as managing the arriving and departing spaceships.

Military facilities
The military facilities onboard Mars Orbital Station consist of two parts. The first are the offices of the command stuff of the Sol Patrol Fleet and its dedicated docking ports. From the admiral in charge of the fleet can monitor the fleet's operations and the situation in the system. The second part are the facilities of the Mars Defence Forces. Those are mostly administrative offices and a small security detachment deployed across the station. The main facilities of the MDF are located on the planet's surface.
Defenses
The station itself is lightly armed. The doctrine of the Earth Colonial Navy is that the defence operations should be mostly performed by the ships and station should never be left alone. Mars Orbital Station is armed with two railguns and four autocannon designed for taking out enemy missiles.
