Prologue

The year is 2020 and by a fluke of human cooperation, humanity lands it’s first manned mission on Mars.

James I

As always, the city was bursting with life on this warm August Monday morning, James was visibly nervous as he would be speaking to the leaders of the free world in a matter of minutes.

Bridget I

The room was cold and white, screens were flickering and the window showed a blue marble with green speckles. ‘Ready for systems check, over.’ A crackling radio voice announced, alerting Bridget as she gazed at Earth.

James II

The gate behind him closed and he heard an all familiar voice ‘James?’ a dark voice asked behind him, James turned around and saw Rafferty towering above him.
