Class Features
Level 1 (Stygian)
Soul of Chaos: Starting at first level, your soul melds with the unending chaos, and begins to take a different shape. You are always detected as evil. Additionally, you can sense when a fiend, fey, fomorian, or aberration creature type is within 30 feet of you, but not their exact location.
Bloodwell: At 1st level, you have a well of blood that replenishes when you take a long rest. You can use this blood to restore a total number of hit points equal to your Stygian level x 5.
As an action, or as a reaction immediately after taking damage, you can absorb the blood and restore a number of hit points to yourself up to the maximum remaining in your blood well.
Level 2 (Stygian)
Souleater: Starting at 2nd level, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal necrotic damage to the target, in addition to the weapon's damage. The extra damage is 1d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 4d8. You restore hit points equal to the extra damage dealt.
The damage increases by 1d8 if the target is a celestial or fey, to a maximum of 5d8.
Fighting Style: Starting at 2nd level, you adopt a particular style of fighting as your specialty. Choose one of the following options. You can’t take the same fighting style option more than once, even if you get to choose again. (Two-Weapon Fighting)
Spellcasting: By 2nd level, the other side has bestowed upon you knowledge of the arcane arts to cast spells.
Level 3 (Stygian)
Body of Chaos: At 3rd level, your body attunes more to the other world. You gain resistance to necrotic damage
Chaos Paradigm: At 3rd level, you choose a paradigm that shifts your body and soul, changing you. This archetype you choose grants you features at 3rd level, and again at 7th level. (Abyssos)
Adversity: You become empowered by the suffering you endure in battle. For every 10 hit points you are missing, you gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls, up to a maximum bonus equal to your proficiency bonus.
Sacrifice: As a bonus action you can sacrifice some of your life force and coat your weapon, dealing 5 extra necrotic damage on your weapon attacks until the end of your current turn. When you do so, you expend 10 hit points. This can’t be reduced in any way.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, restoring use when you finish a long rest.
