Structure
NGE is directed by a Council of twenty major shareholders that meets exclusively by remote communication. Twelve Division Presidents answer to the Council in rigid, formal meetings. Below the level of Division President, however, NGE is renowned for its whimsical corporate culture, with strange (and often, allegedly, fun) covert gatherings of employees at irregular intervals. Many of these gatherings have led to arrests, as they often devolve into inebriated antics. NGE Pharmaceuticals, one of the largest branches of the conglomerate, is a notable exception, and has a very serious corporate culture mostly dominated by elves.
Public Agenda
NGE is a luxury brand, evoking exotic imagery in its advertisements that rely on the galaxy's fetishized image of Saracelli. Their products often idealize sport and "soft" outdoorsmanship, as compared to the more rugged frontier spirit of, e.g., Boeing Technology's target fantasy.
Assets
NGE owns thousands of planetoids, has exclusive licenses to work on thousands more, and has a corporate presence on most inhabited worlds in the Milky Way. It is the second largest Party-based corporation in the galaxy, with accounts totaling in the low quadrillions of credits, after only Staedt-Gregorivich.
History
Before the invention of the Sungjeong Drive, Naiad Wellness was a pharmaceutical giant on Saracelli. It merged with Graves Aerospace, a human-owned corporation also headquartered on Saracelli, shortly after first contact. Everstone, a consumer goods giant headquartered on Sol III, merged with them only fifty years ago, pushing NGE ahead of Rudi Interstellar in the corporate rankings and bringing them to second place.
Demography and Population
NGE's latest census claims 3 billion employees and lists 10 billion external contractors.
