Mara Jaena's WASC21 Pledge Document

Hello everyone and welcome to my Summer Camp Pledge!

I've never completed a writing challenge before and this is the year I've decided to let go of my fears, insecurities, and just write! In addition, I want to engage more with the World Anvil community and read up on everyone else's worldbuilding and find some inspiration-- maybe even a new way to approach some stub articles that I have lying around!

Now, without further ado... I hereby pledge to have fun not only writing but helping out where I can, to pour my imagination into words, and to write alongside fellow worldbuilders in this grand summer challenge!

Which project are your worldbuilding efforts tied to? And which world are you working on?

Mainly, I've been wanting to work on the World of Auriga and flesh out the homebrewed world that the players helped create and have explored so far across two concurrent campaigns.

Which area of the world are you working on?

After organizing the works in progress, stub articles, and galleries, I believe that the stories, lore, and history of the world-- from its items, to its peoples, to its tales and songs-- deserve a lot more time and effort as we've either had handwritten notes or three lines for something relevant to the story.

How much are you aiming to complete?

While the mantra "Diamond or Die!" is echoing in my head, I truly want to see how far I can go. So, for now, I'm comfortable with saying that I aim to complete all 31 prompts in between my busy schedule.

When will you write?

I intend to write an outline for the prompt's content (including images and sidebar content) during a fifteen minute break at work each day. After the work day, with warm tea and maybe an occasional cocoa, I'll start typing away at my keyboard and follow through with the outline.

Who is your support network?

Mainly, my support network is more of just a support buddy- the creator of the world, Jossmoo. While we're aiming to challenge ourselves and flesh out this world's details all throughout July, we both intend to rely on each other and help one another out from bouncing ideas off of each other to editing articles and the like.
However, one of the things I wish to do is also bounce ideas off of the World Anvil discord community and also help any others in need of a support network!

Organizing My Worldbuilding

One of the things I love doing but I always push back is organizing stub articles and random ones. However, after doing so and discovering what categories and sub categories I've needed, I was able to determine what needs to be expanded!

As prompts come in, I will be following the format of my new layout article, filling in content as needed for it.

Article Release Plan

So, I'm hoping to draft articles as soon as I see the prompt list for the week and write an outline in the article for each prompt. In accordance with my schedule, I'll be taking 15 min to outline content for each article from headers, to excerpts, to images inputted, and the blurb for social posts.
