Vex, the Red Woman

Always in the northwestern corner of the festival grounds sits the tent of the Red Woman. The animals themselves want nothing to do with her and are constantly at an unease in her presence, which is why many of the animal-involved activities take place on either the southwestern or northeastern corners of the grounds. According to the animals, screams can be heard coming from the tents but if there was a crime committed, the fair's managment and other carnival workers are either oblivious or keep the truth well hidden.

Meeting the Wayfinders

Boasted about in the carnival as a seer, the Red Woman serves as the high-end fortune telling service contrasting with other booths that either draw cards or use small divinations to pick an item for the fair-goer.
Interested as to the curiosities of the carnival, the Wayfinders found themselves warned by the a kind-hearted Astri- who viewed itself as the protector of the carnival- that there was a blood witch on the fairgrounds, but it was not one that meant most people harm despite the screams that they've heard coming from the tent on occasions. Also warned to avoid lurking around the tent at night, the group decided to pay a visit during the day to assess whether or not a true threat was lurking and using the carnival as a feeding ground.
From initial appearance, though the group did not trust it, they were met by a beautiful well-dressed mage named Vex dressed in red with dark auburn hair to match her motif. She spoke with an air of confidence and was rather inviting although turned coy when the adventurers asked her probing questions. Her mysterious attitude further deepened as the trio present- Reylan, Vasya, and Valentine- began to ask about what she could show them.

Abilities

Prophetic Visions. Displaying her known divination abilities, Vex can see into the future of those that give her a taste of their blood. While she uses and cleans a small ritual knife in between drawings, the plate from which she takes the offerings seems to be rather antique.
Soul Seer. With her powers, she is able to view into the possible future path of the soul she receives an offering of blood and coin for. The pure metal of the coin is consumed in the ritual and becomes lead after the spell is successful.

The Chosen's Soulmate

One of the few instances where her powers failed her was when she was tasked and requested by Reylan to show her her soulmate. However, due to the heavy obscuration and abjuration magics around the person, Vex was unable to generate a clear vision and ended the spell with failure. Annoyed at that but resigned to the truth that there was something strong about the protection magic, she figured it had to do with the divine.
However, when offered the chance to do so again with blood drawn from Reylan using the Arclight, Vex tried a different approach and instead reached into the abjuration magic and began to shatter it as she was interested into who it was that required such protection. Stopped by Reylan as the magic (which appeared as a glowing, bright white wall) began to shatter, Vex did peer in through the cracks to see a library, papers flying, and a figure standing in the light. Though Reylan caught that same glimpse when she looked through herself, Vex ended the connection but not before the two witnessed a scrying orb- in the appearance of an eye of light- appear and try as well to look through the already healing abjuration magics.
