Drow

Those wise ones favored of Darchada

Terrible beings of the night, who chose to spite the sun above for the darkness below. Innately evil and ravenous to boot. Take your care or the drow will get you.
— Elven Children's Story.
When the elves flocked to the portals of the new Material Plane, they stepped through and the Drow found themselves in the darkest pitchest black they had ever seen. They were just able to make out the jungle-like area they found themselves within, a vast area of mushroom stalks that made forests in the damp heat of this new realm. The portals they came through had sealed behind them, they were trapped in this new… Place.   The light of the feywild was far behind them, but they slowly began to adapt to their new environment. Pupils growing wide and seeking out any available light. They burned mushroom pieces to give light to this dark world of steam. And as they finally began to settle and adapt, they were approached by their saviors.   Darchada, the Uncontrollable Spread and Armide, the Sun Spider came to the collection of Drow in the underdark after they had come to accept their situation. Then offered them to become even more, to change to fully fit this new environment. Some declined and held out, but enough accepted the bargain and put them in the hands of their gods. Armide taught them of the warriors of these depths, large spider like creatures that found prey wherever they went and made this land theirs. Darchada showing the spread of the moss and fungi and how they could be used for food and war.   The drow began to warp and twist, adjusting and evolving under careful hands to fit this land to an even greater degree. They spread through the lands of the UnderDark and discovered the dark marshes and the seas of flame. They erected great walled cities in the darkness and grew to love it. In time, they found the way out and could see the sun they no could no longer stand.   Upon finding their distant cousins in the land above, many went to war and battled until the majority of the drow were forced back into the underdark. The cities found this acceptable, they did not need the sun to prosper. They had done so without it for long enough. However, every so often a pair of intrigued eyes would wander towards the surface, thinking of what could have been and what could be.   Commonly Found in:   The Drow are most commonly found in their cities of the Underdark. However, on the surface they are spread sparsely through the continent. Due to a distrust and distaste grown from generations of children learning to hate each other, drow are extremely rare in the @elven forests of uuku and are much more prominent in a number of cities.   With many finding residence in Moldatun due to the surrounding mountains and the walled cities of The Slavers of Forkden. A lower number of Drow are also found in Remniscent Monarchy of SosIwa.
