Declare Action

Declaration of Action

On a characters turn the controlling player or GM checks the state of the game and determines which actions or strategies they wish to attempt. Once an action has been declared, the character is considered committed to that course of action. A character may take any number or type of actions that they are capable of, but be warned, a character's resources are not limitless and running out of a particular resource at an inopportune time may leave them vulnerable.

When the action is declared, it should be declared fully, including targeting parameters and damage types if applicable. If the action is an ability, then reading the abilities definition should be sufficient. If the action is not an ability, then the base keyword being used should be included in the declaration. Players, creatures, or other objects may trigger if particular actions are taken. If so, these effects are triggered at the end of this step but prior to moving on to general prevention.
