Introduction

Devoted to his new found home, Jorika Roatok is determined to give all the love and kindness he has been shown to his citizens. Through bending, hard work, and determination, Jorika hopes to inspire the new generation of swampies and further the nation to greater heights.

Appearance

Jorika stands at 5 feet and 9 inches, with a slim yet more muscular build. He has dirty blonde hair and deep light blue eyes with a light grey tint that seems to mirror the clouds in the sky. Jorika has a natural tan but remains with fairer skin than most. He is seen wearing usually a flowy white shirt and leather woven pants.

Personality

Jorika, ever since a young age, has always seen the beauty in all life. He strives to be a kind man who can make anyone he meet laugh. While he is joking most of the time, he is actively striving to improve, with his determined nature he will be training constantly to hone his bending but also his leadership.

Life

Jorika was born into a small little family on the outskirts of the northern pole. His mother Reign was such a loving and supportive mom. She would constantly love him, and push him to be the best person he could be. Growing up, Jorika always had an inner connection with the push and pull of the tide, he would spend hours playing on the shores of the Southern Water Tribe and eventually discovered the gift of waterbending. Once Jorika knew he could bend water to his will, he trained tirelessly to seek a better understanding of the ancient art. Jorika would constantly run to the shore after finishing his daily classes. Once he became of age he went to the great water benders of the Southern Tribe to seek guidance on his bending journey. After gaining knowledge Jorika enlisted in the army and moved to the north so that he could protect his nation and his family whom he so deeply loved. After years of dedication he eventually moved up the ranks to assume the position of Commodore, after overseeing the northern army of the Water Tribe as Captain.

After the disapperance of Jorika's childhood love, WeiSheng, Jorika found himself lost and retired from the Water Tribe Military to figure out his purpose and drive in life. While on a journey to attend the wedding of then Earth Monarch Run, Jorika ran into his old friend Giotok Daeyang. The two caught up at the reception and Giotok told Jorika about how he had been traveling with the new Avatar and how crazy the adventures were. Throughout the talk, Avatar Tamiko overheard the conversation and Jorika was introduced by Giotok. The three talked for a while and from the initial connection, they decided that Jorika would journey with them as Avatar Tamiko’s bending training was underway.

Months later, with the seperation of Raava from Tamiko after her wedding to her now husband Ghost, Jorika decided he would follow his friend Giotok Daeyang to his home of the Foggy Swamp Tribe. It had been ages since Jorika had seen his longtime best friend Mackatara, and Jorika knew no other place could fill his heart more. In the tribe, Jorika was able to finally get his past life off of his mind and all of the sadness that entailed. Losing his Aunt as well as his husband was hard to swallow and the Foggy Swamp Tribe allowed for a new start. Jorika focused on his bending and more so his connection to inner peace and spirituality. In the mastery branch, Jorika eventually became the Grandmaster and oversaw all mastery operations in the tribe. Eventually Jorika would rank up to Elder following Giotok's accension to chiefdom, but as the times changed Jorika became Chief of the Foggy Swamp Tribe. Currently he is planning to promote a prosperous future and intends to help in any way possible to make the swamp the best nation it can be.
