Introduction

The Southern Water Tribe is home to the Southern Waterbenders and is the Southern division of the Water Tribes. The South Pole is ruled by Southern Water Chief Kodalaq, who oversees the South in partnership with Northern Chief Irelia, who rules the sister Tribe in the North. The Southern Water Tribe has had an eventful history, filled with both prosperity and decline with the divisions and reunification of the Polar Tribes. Currently, the Southern Tribe is stable, filled with economic prosperity and home to many Waterbenders who call it their home.

Capital City

Harbor City

Harbor City is the sister Capital of the Water Tribes, with the Northern Capital being Agna Q'ela. It is home to the majority of Southern Waterbenders and is a bustling port-city filled with economic opportunities.   Harbor City was designed and built from its foundation by Southern Chief Kiryu during his reign, which brought in plenty of trade from the other nations.

The construction of Harbor City was the cornerstone for the Southern Tribes prosperity and fortune as it brought opportunity to the icey tundra of the South. During its conception, the other nations had misgivings if the South Pole were to develop itself, particularly the Fire Nation as the Norther Tribe had a history of conflict and war with them. However, Southern Chief Kiryu proved them wrong, by creating a Tribe that was focused on peace and prosperity, rather than war and conflict. To this day, Harbor City stands as a beacon of hope and a symbol of peace for the Southern Waterbenders.

Royal Palace

Built during the Reconstruction Phase of the South Pole. The Southern Water Tribe Royal Palace is located at the edges of Harbor City, sitting between the mountain passes towards the icey tundra. The Palace is home to the government of the South Pole, namely the Southern Chief. It is a landmark of great architectural ingenuity, displaying traditional and creative Southern Water Tribe architecture; it has become a beacon of the

prosperity and wealth that the South has gained within the last 100 years.

Settlements

Nusuarli

Recently constructed during the period of Chieftess Yimuru's reign, Nusuarli is a bustling fishing town located West of Harbor City. Featuring many traditional igloo homes, as well as more modern and traditional Southern buildings, much like you would find in Harbor City, located in the center of the town. Nusuarli is also a landmark destination for any lumberjacks, as they have a sustainable oak farm that is carefully designed and protected by the Waterbenders of the town against the snowy tundra and the elements.

Pukak

Designed during Chief Vesrok's reign, Pukak is an igloo village, located East of Harbor City. It is the gateway between the Capital City and the icey tundra of the South Pole that leads towards the mountain pass. Pukak is a peaceful and traditional village, lined with delicately designed icey paths and sprawling with water fountains dotted around the village.

Palartok

Recently re-named, Palartok is a fortified town located East of two mountain passes near the Northern edge of the South Pole. It is lined with tall structural snow brick walls built during Southern Chief Kiryu's reign in the year c.235 AG. As it is located in the center of the icey tundra, the tall exterior walls protect the inhabitants against the elements and any unwanted animals and spirits from entering the settlement. The buildings within are low-rise homes, designed with quartz and wood as it offers a more secure home than a typical igloo house would.

Forts

Fort Sedna

One of the oldest standing forts in the South Pole, Fort Sedna was initially designed and planned for construction by Southern Chief Kiryu's, but was never completed during his reign. Lined with fortified snow brick walls and wooden pillars, the fort serves as a powerful indicator of the architectural ingenuity of the South Pole. Located at the Northern Eastern edge of the Southern Water Tribe, it acts as a port for the main fleet of the Southern Water Tribe Navy, and is protected by the icebergs in the ocean by the shore that only a skilled Waterbender is able to pass through untouched. It also serves as a military village with beautiful oriental inspired architecture within. Fort Sedna remains an old and strategic means of protection of the South Pole by enemy invaders.
