7. Head out to look
Grim takes a step out of the abandoned building and takes a deep breath. The air is thick with the scent of decay, mingling with the faint aroma of wildflowers dancing on the breeze. His green eyes narrow as he scans the area, searching for any sign of a toolshed or bee hives.
Grim trudges around the house, and after a few moments of exploration, his efforts are rewarded. A small, one-story wooden building still stands at the edge of the backyard, its walls sagging with age and neglect. Vines creep up its sides, their tendrils weaving a tapestry of greenery that engulfs the small building.
Grim pushes open the creaking door and steps inside. The sunlight filters in through the cracks in the walls and casts an eerie shadow. Tools hang from hooks on the walls, their metal surfaces tarnished with rust and neglect. Shelves lined with jars and cans stand against one wall, their contents obscured by layers of dust.
