First Hundred
The first 100 avens created by the artilect Helia. These first avens laid down a series of rules for their species, among them the principle that aven societies would never wage war on each other. This has held into the present day, though perhaps only because there are still not very many avens compared to the total population of inhabited space.
Many remain alive, remaining an influence on aven culture and politics. Direct descendants of the First Hundred are known as First Children, and while not as prominent as their parents are still considered to hold a major role in terms of connecting the species back to its founding roots.
