Liquid Breathing

Usually seen aboard ultra-high-performance torchships, liquid breathing technology relies on suspending the occupants of the craft in an oxygen-carrying medium of approximately the same density as the human body. This provides protection from acceleration while not interfering unduly with breathing, though extended use can cause fatigue as the lungs must move fluid much heavier than ordinary air.
