Mass Ratio

How much of a spacecraft's mass is taken up by propellant, expressed as a multiple of its empty weight. E.g. a ship with a mass ratio of 3 has 3 kilograms of reaction mass in its tanks for every kilogram of structure, payload, etc. Holding engine performance constant, a higher mass ratio translates to more delta-v.
