Arcane Magic.

Throughout the centuries, many of the non-Faye touched races sought a way in which they themselves could wield the power of magic. While many attempts were made by the Aelfaune and Dragonkind to dissuade them, it was inevitable that such a discovery would eventually be found. The origins of Arcane magic as it would later be come to be called, is thought by many to have been happened upon by groups of human druids deep in the forests of the Wirrall, leading to the appearance of witches and enchantress that would call those dark canopies home for many generations to come. It has been speculated by scholar in the magical arts that the concept of Arcane magic was originally formed by mimicking the Foci of the forest dwelling Sylvanians and other such magically inclined peoples they would have encountered. These peoples were well known for utilise Foci or focuses to enhance and strengthen their own natural abilities.
It was through them that this art would spread, being picked up by other human academics whom refined it into the discipline known as Arcane magic, developing the primitive forms a human mage craft we see today. At its core, Arcaine magic is a type of magic that draws its power from magical sources. These can manifest themselves in many forms such as, ancient relics and artefacts, natural materials, conjurations and familiars or even channelling others magic.
