Xelsyrae Skartus
Xelsyrae was once considered the most beautiful woman in all the sunless realms, bards sung and wrote ballads, regaling tavern goers and noblemen of the Dral'azie beauty, reaching all the way to the world above. Men and women alike fought for her favour. Each trying to outdo the other just to have an audience with her. Attending every banquet, ball and events that the Dragh'lur had to offer, each heirs to the great houses sought her favour and that of her house. It was said that even the Imperial Urithair bloodline had set their sights on her as a potential mate to one of their own.
However in time, Xelsyrae's beauty caught the ire of her elder sister, Zaithrien. Finally unable to withstand her jealousy and contempt for her sister, Zaithrien unleashed a horrendous attack. Taking a vile of corrosive venom from the Velch'yn spiders, Zaithrien ambushed Xelsyrae in her own chambers, throw it in her face. The damage was luckily concentrated to only the left side of her face, but this was enough, scaring and disfiguring her. Destroying the life of vanity she once had led through her beauty. The ballads, the suitors and admirers, all gone in one moment. She was now forced to wear a series of ornate, beautiful masks, one in particular is made from a cast of her face before she had been attacked. From that moment on, she vowed revenge against her sister, pledging to destroy Zaithriens life, as Zaithrien had destroyed her.
Over the years becoming Xelsyrae became a diplomat and spy master for her house. Using all the information and secrets she acquired over the years of being a debonair beauty. Using this to blackmail and bribe members of the other houses, there is now very little this spider does not know. Even less she willingly parts with, without a fair price.
Xelsyrae currently operates as ambassador to Rie'shae for house Skartus. Yet secretly operating her own midden web of spies, independent from the house and loyal to her and her alone. Tirelessly working in the shadows to undermine her sisters ambitions.
