Helen's Necklace
Helen, wife of Berger, mother of Olena originally came from The Eiterland Kingdom. That kingdom is famous for its gems and wonders. Her necklace was passed down to her from her mother, and to her from hers, and so on and so on for generations, thus leading her to pass hers down to Olena before she disappeared.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Berger suspects that the necklace could have something to do with his wife's disappearance, but does not outwardly make many efforts to follow his conjectures. Olena on the other hand is constantly attempting to uncover the mystery, for she is convinced that her mother is alive somewhere and that the necklace will one day lead them to her.
The necklace is constructed of a strange stone that can change hue but always stays in the color family of green. It can also glow when exposed to moonlight, shine when exposed to sunlight, and randomly illuminate itself in the middle of the darkest night.
Manufacturing process
The exact origins of how this rare and mysterious piece of jewelry was forged is currently unknown, but it is surmised that a royal smith of the King of the East may have done it.
Significance
Olena holds this necklace very dear, for it was passed down for generations and generations before her, and, most importantly, it was the final gift that her mother bestowed upon her before her disappearance. She also cares for it so because it is the same deep shade of green as her mother's eyes (and her own eyes).
