Mechanics & Inner Workings
The twisty design of each beam allows them to snap together when coupled properly. He has a strap on his back to hold it when not in use. He also sometimes utilizes it as a walking stick.
Significance
Because he did not want to fight with a sword, his brother told him that he was going to need some kind of weapon to defend himself with. Taking a cue from the 23rd Psalm, Syndri sculpted from wood two twisty interlocking beams that can be used to block attacks from enemies, or (if necessary) hit foes with blunt force. Although he prefers not to inflict battery upon anyone, he would rather that than viciously stabbing or slashing someone with a sharp sword. The mere sight of bloodshed can bring Syndri to his knees. (not inducing nausea or anything. more like hurting his heart and troubling his very soul.) When he was younger, he accidentally harmed his brother with a sword as they were playfully sparring. Magnar was not badly wounded and did not hold a grudge, but Syndri couldn't let it go and vowed never again to pick up a sword. He violated this promise later in life, and was consequently forced to kill someone with it in a life-or-death situation. This grieved him deeply despite his brother constantly reminding him that, had he not defended himself, the enemy would have surely finished him.
