Weapalu Ribbon
The Weapalu Ribbon appears to be a normal strip of fabric, but warriors know that they indicate an invitation to duel; especially if the challenger has tied one to a weapon and left where the challengee can find it. These thin ribbons are delicately crafted of fine silk and come in a vast variety of colors that each represent different levels of challenge. The rule of thumb is, the lighter the color, the more lighthearted the challenge. The darker the color, the more severe the challenge.
WHITE is the purest ribbon. When a warrior has this tied in their hair, on their wrist, or on their weapon, it means that they are fighting for justice. Their battles are necessary to uphold the peace.
is a friendly invitation to spar if you will. It's often jested for a more serious type of fun, and you won't expect the end result to be death.
RED represents anger and blood. This is the most common and generic ribbon to be found. The darker the shade, the more severe the challenge. Very intense shows that the challenger is ready to fight to the death.
BLACK is a sign of personal offense. This usually means that the challenger is requesting a duel as an act of avenging someone or something that they cared about.
