On The Scourge of Acaesura

On the Scourge of Acaesura is a novelistic, historical record written by Linelian Fareyes (credited strictly as Linelian per usual). It is one of few widely-available and reputable firsthand accounts of the The Scourge of Acaesura and it is without question the most successful.

About the Book

Description

The author presents his information in "chapters," allowing an undercurrent of introspection and commentary throughout. Beyond his visceral descriptions of the Demon War (and the powerful magic used to end it), Linelian goes on to conjecture about the war's far-reaching repercussions--namely in the form of The Ascension War itself.

His suppositions would soon prove accurate. Ozcymath's death--incidentally but undoubtedly--saw the passing of a volatile torch to Palasar Tolthik, Inibis Valmeia and Taslyn Cordaer--the very individuals responsible for his defeat. Though once allied against a common foe, these three now shape Acaelica around them as they seek the godhood that Ozcymath came here to achieve.

Novel Terminology

On the Scourge of Acaesura is notable for coining the term Ascension War in reference to the hunt for the Divine Spark by those who have inherited it from Ozcymath.

It also introduced the title of Volta to refer to the three individuals who find themselves at the heart of that matter.
