Westbrook Hopper

Westie Hopper has been around the block more than a few times in his career as a reporter for the Globe, but he hasn't lost touch with what brought him into the business — the desire to stand up for the little guy.   Hopper tends to stay close to home. He's a Chicago boy, through and through. At least that was the case before his old friend, Father Ronan Carmichael, called him up to say that he had some information about a series of murders the previous year. Would Hopper be up for a trip to Los Angeles to follow up on a lead?

Stunts

Let Me Get a Quick Peek
You’re used to getting thrown out of a room by the cops, the room’s owner, or someone who just doesn’t like you. As a result, you’ve learned to look around very quickly. If no one is around to hassle you, you can investigate a location two time increments faster than normal. If someone is bothering you, you can still search one increment faster.
I Have the Strangest Feeling
You’ve got the ability to lay out an endless stream of verbiage that can overwhelm even the most steadfast opponent. Once you start talking, make a Rapport roll against the victim’s Rapport or Resolve. If you win, your filibuster is on. From then on, each turn make another Rapport roll at +2 to continue.

As long you keep succeeding, your target is distracted and won’t notice anything short of a major event unless they successfully roll their Notice against your last successful roll. If you try this against more than one target at once, they all get a +1 on their Notice roll for each person beyond the first.
Don’t Kid a Kidder
You’ve been lied to by the best and can now detect a lie before it even turns the corner. As a result, you get a Notice check when when someone lies to you. If it succeeds by two or more shifts, you know exactly what part of what was said was a lie.
