The Feast of Dreams is one of many holidays widely celebrated across Milleadh. People across cultures and regions come together to share their homes and dreams with one another, new contractions are negotiated, and activities that promote togetherness are held. It is during this time of the year that most individuals seek to start new creative projects.
The Feast of Dreams is one of the few traditions documented in the Tome of the Six. Said to have started in the no longer existing kingdom of Whenua Aisling. The festival seems to have started as a seasonal celebration, marking the end of the harvest season, and thanking the Gods for the plentiful harvest, and good weather.
Overtime the festival became more complex and evolved into an elaborate celebration where people throughout the kingdom would come together in their communities sharing their hopes and dreams, and working to help others achieve their dreams. Eventually the leaders began to use the holiday to share their visions for their communities future, and the vision of the
Ard-Aisling. This also became the time of the year when new contracts would be negotiated with various traders and merchants.
Once in the far away land of Whenua Aisling, a young girl named Lila had a very special dream. She dreamed of a beautiful garden filled with colorful flowers, butterflies and birds. She shared her dream with her family and friends, who all thought it was a wonderful idea. Together they decided to make Lila's dream come true by planting a garden in Whenua Aisling's center.
Everyone in the land worked hard to make Lila's dream real. Soil was tilled, seeds planted, and the garden tended with love and care. As the days passed, the garden grew and flourished. Bright flowers bloomed and butterflies arrived, fluttering about. The songs of birds filled the air. On the Feast of Dreams, Lila's garden was finally ready. The people gathered together to admire it and and speak their wishes to the gods for the coming year. Lila was overjoyed to see her dream come true and was filled with happiness and pride.
They say the garden of Whenua Aisling is the best place to share your dreams and wishes for the future, for a dream shared there is carried to the ears of Cutrus on the song of his birds.
