Ironwing Mines
This particular page from Petoria's journal talks about her discovery of the Ironwing Mines, located in the Northwestern most part of the Kingdom of Thelonde.
Ironwing Mines
High up the mountain known as the Darboro pinical sits an entrance to what the locals refered to as the Ironwing mines. The mines seem to be barred from the outiside, but despite numerous tries no one has been able to enter them. I have noticed that the iconography on the ouside of the mine matches that of both the local god the All Hammer, along with some symbols from the Ruins of Puku.
According to local legends the mine was barred magically around 1500 years ago, by an individual they refer to as the Fire Elemental. Everyone knows that the elementals are just legends, stories told by elders to help them deal with things they've been unable to change.
The mine entrance is said to appear and vanish randomly, however the flames on the ouside of the entry stairs seem to have started to glow. I wonder what this could actually mean.
One of the elders of the local village seems to think this means that the Fire elemental will return to the location shortly and allow them entry to the mines. There are numerous stories about these minees, but none seem to make sense to me. The door is only around 10 feet tall, far to short to allow a titan or giant entry, but the elder claims that this is infact what lies within the mines. To find a place outside of Delesia with this iconography on it, seem like a momentious occasion. I wonder how many other places around Milleadh have iconography for these apparent elementals. Could the Ruins of Puku have been the home of these creatures? I wonder when it was destroyed. So many questions, hopefully we'll be able to find the answers and add them to the library.
