Storm Fireblade

Storm Fireblade is a living legend. One of very few Masters of the Essence Hunters, he refused to head them not once but twice for reasons unknown.
What is known is his battle prowess, wisdom and his willingness to sacrifice for the benefit of others. He has been part of several teams that bested Essence Avatars that were raging through the worlds and has been asked to mediate in matters big and small.
Anything that is asked of him that improves the safety of others, he accepts. We are lucky to have hosted him here, at the University, several times and the Emperor, long may he reign, has bestowed upon him the honorary title of "Professor". Why is unknown to anyone but Storm himself and the Emperor, long may he reign.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Storm is in excellent condition for his age. He trains daily in multiple disciplines and is proficient in every weapon. Except for the Kotan'bo, the Naru staff weapon. He seems to not be able to get it under control, much to his chagrin and pleasure of the Naru.

Identifying Characteristics

Even though he is definitely Human, it is sometimes joked that Storm is a Rhultak. One has yet to see him without armor. Like Rhultak, he switches his armor based on his activity.

Special abilities

Whether gift or intellect, Storm is able to identify a lie without investigation.

Additionally he carries the Gift of Ether. Somehow, this is a detail that is not commonly known and as such we will not elaborate more.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Storm came out of nowhere and not a lot is known about him. The little that is known is a tale of woe. Recruited by the Essence Hunters at a later age then most, he accepted after losing his loved ones in an avatar raid. It is said that this is why he accepts all missions that involve endangered innocents, and it seems that he leaves out no chance to get in the way of monsters or essence crazed beasts.
He mostly travels alone. Though for some that is dangerous in these times, Storm is a Master of Essence because he earned it with blood. Soldiers that accompanied him for a short while have reported wild animals to show respect to Storm and leave their caravan alone.

Education

All Essence Hunters are educated in the bastions of the Essence Hunters. Storm is no exception and with his title comes access to privileged information, both within and outside of his organization. Storm is most knowledgeable about fighting strategies, fauna on all known worlds and mystics. He does not waste time on things that do not interest him however and maintains a clerk in his service to take care of all his worldly belongings.
