Xiao Lamei (a.k.a. White Rose)

Xiao Lamei is a merchant-daughter in the Scholar class of the Gniwers. As one of few in her family who were not raised in Nimora, her world view is a bit more liberal then that of her kin.
She has shown remarkable skill in trading and is perfectly able to defend herself during trade travels. Due to her access to many worlds and places usually closed to Gniwer dignitaries, she has been recruited by the Nimoran Government as a spy.
This status heavily interferes with her own goals, yet she is unable to refuse as this is her place within the Theoremos.

Personal history

Xiao has had a very sheltered upbringing filled with education. When her eldest brother died, she was brought out into the open to fulfill his role as heir to her fathers trade empire.
With her superior intellect, she quickly settled several long lasting disputes and caught the eye of the Theoremos top and soon she was recruited into the spy organization of the Gniwers.

Accomplishments & Achievements

At a young age, she was able to settle a long lasting dispute between her family and The Organization forcing them to forfeit protection money on Atarga. When they tried to assassinate her for it, she made quick work of their hired knives and sent them back alive.
What they did not know is that she prepared a drink for them that weaponized their blood using ancient magic and they exploded upon their return to their den, killing many others including some of the lower ranked staff of the Thieves.
Needless to say, she earned their fear and respect.

Taboos

Marriage is not debatable around Xiao to the point that she forbade anyone around her to even speak about it. This does not mean that she does not indulge in physical dalliances, but her parents have stopped trying to find a suitor for her to ensure no irreparable damage to ancient relationships would be incurred by her rude rejections.

Absolute freedom and the betterment of Gniwer standing.
Unbeknownst to the Gniwers in her class, she is supporting a small but surely growing rebel faction within the Tinkerers that believe their current cultural structure only serves to support a small elite.

Vices & Personality flaws

Xiao cannot get enough of powdered yartsa intestines to take off the edge of the stress that she goes through on a day to day basis. The hangover, which induces both hallucinations and increases libido ten-fold, has threatened to undo all her hard work on several occasions.
