Flowing {Sea Elves}

Song-on-the-Waves brought forth the souls of the Flowing from the eternal ocean. Restless, yet enduring, always in motion, they see life as part of a single, vast and infinitely complex story. They seek a legacy in both transmitting and contributing to that story through lives of adventure. Always drawn back to the salt water which flows in their veins, they are widely known as sea elves. The sea elves were the first kindred to abandon the Regime, preferring a travelling life and the immortality of narrative.
The sea elves once possessed great territories in the oceans, which they governed in the name of the Regime, but they have long-since seceded these to their descendants among the Seafolk, and most especially the tritons. A few sea elves live in coastal communities, usually side-by-side with other races, but most prefer a travelling life. Their homes are their ships, which are among the largest and finest in the world, and the crews of those ships are family, closer than blood kin upon other ships. Even shore-bound sea elves refer to their homes as ships, their communities as fleets, and their friends and families as crew.
Sea elves often have a blue-green tint and a slight, scaled pattern to their skin, and blue and green hair are common among them. Their eyes are dark, and have a nictitating membrane to protect them in salt water. Sea elves can breathe underwater, through narrow gill slits in their chests, just below the collarbone.
