The Morningstar
How you are fallen from heaven,
O Day Star, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the recesses of the Pit.
The Morningstar is a myth that predates the arrival of the Younger Races on Zihæt. In the days before coming to Zihæt, the Morningstar was a fallen angel, who once ruled the nine circles of hell across the cosmos.
This fallen angel, was eventually cast out of the hell he ruled by others coveting his throne outside the heavens. In the myth, he fights to regain his position but fails. Instead he returns to the lands of men, between heaven and hell, and begins to twist their minds to his service. Many a great man and their peoples rally to his cry setting off the The Great War.
In one telling of the myth, a number of gods come together to seal the Morningstar on a distant world. Here he bides his time and plots his return to his throne.O Day Star, son of the morning!
