Carriglen

Carriglen, “The City of Wonder,” is a marvel to behold. Built with the most advanced technological and engineering feats of its time, it is a place where magic and machination meet in the most wondrous ways. The city is a bustling hub of activity with its steam-powered trains and elevators, cutting-edge architecture, and innovative designs. The gnomes have taken advantage of the heat from the nearby mountain range to power their steam engines, and the resulting infrastructure is a sight to behold.   Despite its size and complexity, the city of Carriglen is well-organized and divided into various districts, each with its own unique charm and characteristics. From the commercial center filled with shops and markets, to the residential areas with their quaint homes and gardens, Carriglen has something for everyone. However, with such a large and complicated city, visitors may need a guide or detailed maps to navigate its many wonders.   Yet, beyond the technological marvels, the heart of Carriglen lies with its people. The gnomes are a friendly and welcoming folk, eager to share their knowledge and innovations with anyone who visits their city. Carriglen is truly the pinnacle of gnomish culture, a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work, determination, and a bit of magical tinkering.   Across the city are references and homage paid to the patron deity of the gnomes there. None are more wondrous than “The Glittering Eye.” The Glittering Eye is a magnificent and awe-inspiring sight, with its multicolored stained glass panes arranged in a circular pattern to resemble a giant, shining eye. It is located at the very center of the city’s oversight district, and is visible from many parts of the city, serving as a constant reminder of the gnomes’ devotion to Garl Glittergold. The dome is said to glitter and shine with a warm, golden light at certain times of day, giving the impression of a watchful, benevolent gaze upon the city and its inhabitants.
