In the mystical realm of Allyria, where two moons, Sett (month days) and Whea (week days), grace the night sky. The inhabitants revere these moons as the Eyes of the Watcher, and they believe that a celestial being known as the Watcher observes their actions from above.
Long ago, when the world of was newly formed, the divine Watcher was enchanted by its beauty and the myriad of creatures that roamed its lands. To ensure harmony and balance, the Watcher decided to bless the world with two moons to mark the passage of time and to be its eyes over the inhabitants of the land.

The Watcher's Gaze:

Whenever both moons were full, it was said that the Watcher's gaze became focused and intense. This celestial event, known as the Watcher's Vigil, had profound significance. It was believed that during the Vigil, the Watcher would peer into the hearts and minds of every living being, revealing their deepest secrets.

The Oath of Truth:

The people of Eldoria held a sacred belief that during the Watcher's Vigil, deception and ill intent were impossible to hide. Those who harbored harmful secrets, planned thievery, or plotted against others risked exposure and dire consequences. To protect themselves, they embraced the Oath of Truth. This oath required that they reveal any hidden deceit before the Watcher's Vigil, seeking redemption and forgiveness.

The Scaled Veil:

Legend had it that the Watcher had a favored avatar, a majestic dragon named Varinor, whose scales were imbued with the power to shield those who sought to repent. This dragon, the Keeper of Secrets, would weave a magical veil around those who confessed their transgressions, ensuring that the Watcher's gaze would not pierce their souls, or cast grave misfortune over their lives.

The Tale of Ilyana:

Among the many stories of the Watcher's Vigil, the tale of Ilyana stands out. Ilyana was a cunning rogue known for her skillful thievery and her web of deceit. However, the day of the Watcher's Vigil drew near, and Ilyana's guilt weighed heavily on her heart. She made her way to the Shrine of Truth, where she confessed her misdeeds.

Redemption and Revelation:

As the Watcher's Vigil began, Ilyana felt the magic of the Scaled Veil enshroud her. The moons' light intensified, and the celestial realm resonated with power. The Watcher's gaze turned toward Ilyana, and in that moment, her stolen treasures materialized before her, a manifestation of her guilt. But the Watcher's gaze also revealed a path to redemption and a chance to use her skills for good.
Henceforth Ilyana returned all wealth she had accumulated back to the poorest of the people, and began a legacy of justice. She stole from abusers, liars, political powers, or anyone else who used their skill or position to steal from the people.

From that day onward, the people of Eldoria embraced the lessons of the Watcher's Vigil. They sought to live with honesty, kindness, and respect for one another. The Oath of Truth became a cornerstone of their society, and the dragon Varinor's legacy, and the redemption of Ilyana, lived on reminding them that redemption was always within reach.
