Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Fergus is in excellent physical condition despite nearly a decade of work as a Defender. He's tall and lithe with a wiry build. He's one of the more agile members of the team.

Body Features

Fergus is fair skinned, marked by scars. He has a few old scars on his face. His left palm and the inside of his left arm are marked by circular burn scars up to around his elbow.
His hair is easily his most apparent feature. It's long, dark, and curly, reaching to around his hips when he stands.

Facial Features

He has a round jaw and large eyes. His features are fairly youthful. He easily looks like he's in his forties. The dark circles under his eyes are ever present. He's always clean shaven.

Physical quirks

Has a habit of running his hands through his hair or over his jeans when he gets worked up. Walks everywhere with purpose and tends to leave everyone else behind as a result.

Special abilities

Fergus is an empath. He can feel and manipulate the emotions of others. He is especially skilled at creating and controlling negative feelings in others.
Language: Fergus can understand any language in the same fluency as those around him. If he isn't nearby someone who knows the language, then he doesn't know it.
Item Backwash: Fergus later develops the ability to feel the emotional backwash of important places and items with a touch.

Apparel & Accessories

Unironically wears leather jackets. Will only wear jeans. Tends towards long sleeve shirts, only wears t-shirts if they're underneath his jacket. Always seen with a cup of coffee.

Specialized Equipment

Has a variety of staffs.
His most regularly used is an extendable staff. It has three lengths: unextended (about 1 ft), half-extended (about 3 ft) and fully extended (6 ft). It can also be used as a gun.
He has another staff with a weighted, magnetic end.

Personal history

Fergus was born in Istanbul, Turkey as Layla Evren Demir. At three or four years old, his parents were shot and killed. He ran away from the scene and, unable to be caught by authorities, lived on the streets.
At five years old, Fergus met Elliot Golden and Henry Stohln, the founders of the Society and the Defenders Program. He was soon taken back to their headquarters in Switzerland.
