Creator

Ahiom is Aarthus’ creator God and Supreme Being, but he is the subject of indirect adoration only. He is the Font of Godhead and divine power. He is both male and female, being the twin poles of Godhead, Ahiom Sky Father, his male incarnation, and Nepthhis Earth Mother.

Titans of Old

The Titans are more manifestations of root, fundamental, universal forces. These are legacy figures, referenced by the learned of Aarthus as needed, but unknown to most Faithful. There is some doubt if they are sentient. These beings do not require or want human worship, for they just are.

Planetary Entelechies

The Planetary Entelechies, also referred to as Numinous Entelechies, are the heads of a divine, spiritual bureaucracy that oversees the universe and its workings. The classical seven (or eight) planets are signifiers on the great wheel of the Zodiac, so the entelechies and their astral management have a direct, all-encompassing effect on the mortal world. They are a sort of behind-the-scenes operating system or organizational principle for the universe. They each rule a classical planet, embodying each of its virtues, faults, symbols, and traits. The entelechies only are adored indirectly, and they have not been worshiped individually since classical times. All of them are aspects (called “eminations”) of the same greater god, Ahiom.

Mayors of the Zodiac, Entelechies

Entelechies also are called spirits, ministers, governors, powers, daemons, and other titles. These beings are neither divine nor demonic, but they hold substantial power (often ministerial) in the universe. They can be good or evil, or like humans, a mixture of both.

Angels

These are immortal, divine messengers and warriors of significant power. Part bureaucrats, soldier, guards, and messenger, and arranged in seven tiers, each tier being seven times in number of the previous one. Angels can assume human form; or that of glorious, androgynous, golden-winged humans in armor and with blazing halos; or invisible incorporeal forms. Even when incorporeal, they can affect the material world. Most of them represent themselves as neither male nor female, but they can assume gender if they wish, and even interbreed with other sentient races. (See Nephilim and Elioud listings.) Mostly, angel’s individual names end with “-el” or “-iah,” although there are exceptions. Many have portfolios of responsibilities, much like saints or gods do. While overwhelmingly good, they have free will and may choose to be good or evil, subservient or rebellious. There have been at least two wars in heaven, and the fallen angels, now called Watchers, were consigned to subterranean prisons on Aarthus.

The Ellid, also called the Great Host, are angelic spirits created to serve as functionaries in the day-to-day operations of running the universe. Part bureacrat, soldier, and messenger. Ellid is both singular and plural, and as an adjective, Ellidic.
