Pascyra

Introduction

One of the many secrets that the Keeper kept from the Graces was the fact that he was far from unique, and that many other gods in different universes existed, some of whom were connected to him. The Keeper kept visitations from other deities to a minimum and ensured that those who sought him out, visited him at a place in the Celestial Realm called Pascyra.

Pascyra

The rock of Pascyra is now lost in the Frost Margins at the periphery of the Celestial Realm. It was situated far away from Asavaa Tao, the throne of the Keeper, because he preferred to parlay with other entities secretly and out of the view of the Graces. He believed that he had fooled the Athervannir, but the Keeper, in his vanity, had achieved no such thing. Such was the ability of the Athervannir to see across the dimensions, that even when he was at his most deceptive, the seven understood precisely what he was doing. Pascyra a tall pillar of black stone, quite distinct from the pale and rose coloured rocks of much of the Celestial Realm. It is unclear whether the Keeper discovered Pascyra, whether he made it or whether he transported it from somewhere else. On its flat surface the Keeper would meet visitors from other realities, who would step through a great burning portal created by the power of the stone itself. A portal that connects universes created by different gods is unlike many of the doorways that exist across the Five Dimensions, and must be much stronger to prevent it collapsing from the two opposing god-energies.

The Graces Search

The Grace Y'Luran has spent many years searching for Pascyra. Despite his unending desire to eradicate all mortal life in the Celestial Realm, he does not see Pascyra as a tool that could or should be used to this end. Instead, he wishes to destroy it, believing that it is too dangerous to exist. The Graces never fully understood how the portal worked or whether it could be opened from the other side. When they were told by the Athervannir that the Keeper might be part of a wider family of gods, all unknown in the Five Dimensions, Y'Luran began to fear that a tyrant far worse than the Keeper himself might cross through and take control of Celestium, especially if they were to learn of the Keeper's demise.
