Sebaste
The peoples of Tuatha De Danann, known by outsiders as the Sebaste, are a tribalistic, forest dwelling people who inhabit the Tir Naomh along the southern slopes of the Northspire Mountains. Though considered by many of their neighbors to be a primitive people, the Sebaste has a rich and longstanding culture that bears many similarities to the elves. While both are forest-dwelling people, the people of the Sebaste prefer to live closer to nature, building their cities high above the ground between the trunks of the great trees of Tir Naomh in some of the thickest parts of the forest. Those standing on the ground could well not even know they stand under a great city, seeing only an impenetrable bulk of foliage casting the forest floor in perpetual darkness, oblivious to the massive wooden platforms that stand hundreds of feet above them in the gleaming daylight.
The Sebaste has a long history of struggle, knowing oppression and violence for most of its millenia of existence. They are fierce fighters, and have unparalleled knowledge in the art of Diomtu, or arcane tattoos. They use this art to great effect, enhancing the fighting capabilities of their warriors.
