Kingdom of Ba Sing Se
The Kingdom of Ba Sing Se is the largest and most important kingdom of the United Earth Kingdom. The Kingdom of Ba Sing Se has the largest military and economy of all the kingdoms in the UEK.
The Kingdom of Ba Sing Se controls most of the western Earth Mainland, bordering the Eastern Peninsula and Si Wong Desert.
History
The history of the Kingdom of Ba Sing Se is intimately tied with the history of its namesake city - Ba Sing Se. The rise of the Kingdom of Ba Sing Se occured not long after The Bending War in response to the power vacuum left by the war. The Kingdom of Ba Sing Se claims to be the very first independent kingdom of the Earth Peoples to have appeared on the Earth Mainland, a fact which most citizens of the kingdom take pride in. Though it is generally accepted by scholars that the Kingdom of Ba Sing Se is in fact the oldest kingdom on the Earth Mainland still in exstince, most sholars do not believe the kingdom contains the oldest settlement. Instead, that designation belongs most likely to the City of Shu, the capital of the Kingdom of Omashu. This history has caused a rivalry to form between the Kingdom of Ba Sing Se and the Kingdom of Omashu.
