Hiko Inekiki

Hiko is the principal political representative of the nation of Bes. There is no exact agreement on what his position is actually called, but most refer to him as king as an easily understood shorthand for leader.
Similar to other black-winged Yashelin living on Kivria, Hiko is strongly associated with crows. Even more strongly, in fact, due to his affinity for journalism. As the crow brings messages good and bad to the populace, so too does Hiko. No ocassion stands out starker than the end of the Astris Genocide. While Hiko had been assisting the remaining people in the The Flood Wastes in reaching the coast and safety of the ocean, he discovered that Uri had entered into the fray on the opposite side. Knowing that time was of the essence, he flew back to the coast with only two young survivors in tow and delivered the news. The ships never returned to the coast afterwards for fear of never being able to leave again, abandoning those still inland to their fates.
