Walther WA 2000 Rifle
The Walther WA 2000 is a semi-automatic bullpup sniper rifle produced by the Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen company from 1982 until 1988. Production of the rifle was limited and it was shortly stopped because it was too expensive to achieve widespread sales and not robust enough for military use as a sniper rifle. Only 176 were built due to its high cost, making it one of the rarest and most sought production firearms ever made.At the time the Walther WA 2000 looked like something right out of a science fiction movie. However it was ground breaking in design techniques for many rifles to follow. This makes it sad that it did not gain wide spread acceptance and economical manufacturing. The overwhelming quality of this rifle was never a question at the time, only the absorbent price tag.
Douglas Sinclair, father of Angus was on the original research and development team for the rifle and he ended up buying one of the second edition models. Douglas taught his son to hunt and shoot with this rifle strengthening their bond over the years. He imparted a sense of respect and care for your tools and how well they should be maintained. This was the formative start of duty and responsibility for Angus.
As the new plague of nature began to consume their cities of steel and glass Douglas knew that it was only a matter of time before his advanced age and family ties caused failure to take Angus. Sending Angus on an important errand with "his" rifle Douglas arranged for a no return scenario that left no doubt he would be dead when Angus returned. Angus never speaks of the exact details however he knows beyond doubt that his father gave his life to better his chances.
Angus holds this rifle dear to him as his most cherished possession, a link to his father and years of memories between them. A physical symbol of duty and responsibility, but not blind and dangerous obedience.

Iconic Items can also be something that may be considered out of place or rare within the Character’s Community, such as a horse among a barge Community or a hand carved ash baseball bat in a military corps. Each Character can have up to 3 Iconic Items, which must be marked down in the appropriate fields on the Character Sheet. Describing an Iconic Item entails giving the object a distinct personality rather than simply stating what it is: a bow that only I can stretch / a gas mask with an unusual design that frightens those who challenge me / a cloak of red wool, worn but warm and comfortable.

Iconic Items are objects with a strong connection to a Character's past, personality, or line of work. They help to better define the Character by giving them a unique quality that goes beyond what they can do. Iconic Items, in addition to their inherent usefulness, grant the Character 1 Advantage Die once per Scene if it makes narrative sense for them to do so. It is the Player's responsibility to explain how their Iconic Item aids their goal and claim the Advantage Die, but it is always the MB who decides whether or not the boost is applicable.Iconic Items can also be something that may be considered out of place or rare within the Character’s Community, such as a horse among a barge Community or a hand carved ash baseball bat in a military corps.
