Colonised Human Space

Humans finally made it to space, to find among the asteroids a compound they names Jolt, it revolutionised their means of power, energy as it gave the ability to travel at much faster speeds, so able to reach the edge of the solar system in days not months to years or more. Jolt, the compound, also gave them to key to go beyond. The stable wormhole that linked them to another solar system, travelling in short space of hours, allowing for them to at last spread out into the stars they seen but were beyond their reach.   Humans were unable to save the Earth, their home world, as its pollution levels and damage to the ecosystem saw them push out into the unknown, in large ships and sort out habitable worlds that before only whispers of possibility. Humans spread out and established first Terran Republic, of all the new colonies coming together to administer and fund their exploration into the galaxy, find the network of wormholes.   The second nation to form was the Imperial Empire, one hundred families and their allies building a united principalities in their select region of space, enough for each of the families to gain wealth, status they felt they were due.   The Third Nation was made through exploration and the desire to be able to 'make world' to terraform a barren planet in to a paradise or liveable world, it took over a hundred or more years to achieve. They did. Made up of misfits, the purged from Imperial Empire, and the adventurers who wanted to see what was out there. The Confederacy of Gaia was shaped.   Then the Righteous War came, the Humans has set rules that each Government had to abide by Treaties that Imperials saw fit to bend, break and shatter. Alliance between Terran Nation and the Confederacy stood up for the Right but the Imperials won through trickery and ruthlessness.   Reconstruction, Terran Nation was to be made a new, the Imperials taking delight in showing up their parent Nation, only the Confederates were Ghosts, as they could not find their Nation to show them correct path so were reduce to taking their ships, taxing all those who had ties to them, Ghost, pretenders.
