The Pyramid of Radiance, also known as the Fourth Pyramid, was constructed by the Church of Ra in 25 AL over a period of three years, following the discovery of the Scroll of Truth in the Great Pyramid. The construction was funded by the Diedrich Family, as their firstborn daughter Petra is the High Priestess of the Church.
The Pyramid was created to collect and channel sunlight from its top, but its true purpose is known by few of the Church, and nobody outside it. Its members are sworn to secrecy, constantly monitored and swiftly exterminated if they even slightly diverge from their assigned routines. As a result, the Pyramid remains a place of mystery, giving birth to a number of conspiracy theories, especially in the
Collar ranks, who witness its brilliance every day. The most widespread rumor is that the Pyramid contains a portal to another dimension, sending the faithful to their salvation. After all, this is the promise of the Church: those who believe will be delivered to a better place.
Throughout the years, efforts to infiltrate the Pyramid, mostly by spies of the other Families and members of the Divine Light cult, have failed, and those unfortunate enough to enter uninvited never came out.
