Lefant Lascarians
Background
These Lascarians have spent most if not all of their lives within the pre-fall metro tunnels under Dominus Columbia unlike their wasteland cousins. To eat and survive, Lefants had to adapt to moving quickly through treacherous tunnels, caverns, metro cars, and all sorts of physical hazards left over from The Fall just to catch their prey. As groups started to encounter each other and work together in The Bailey the Lefants began cooperating with the surface dwellers for additional food supplies. Their ability to chase down targets, even in the pitch darkness, became almost infamous in the right circles, and various organizations jumped at the chance to hire individuals and groups of Lefants to handle both safely clearing out hot zones and unique hushed assignments.
Today underground dwelling Lefants help manage anything unwanted that appears in the vast complex of metro tunnels under The Bailey, making sure that the underground trade routes stay safe, while topside Lefants that try to make a living on the surface are commonly hired as specialist to help guard caravans, fill in military units, or track down targets that some organizations or Senators feel need to be removed from The Bailey.
Costume and Roleplay Requirements
Lefants tend to wear light form fitting, dark clothing (unlike the looser fits prefered by their Wasteland cousins), and do not like to have much if anything weighing them down. Because of this most have taken to learning how to use their fists to defend themselves and/or catch their prey, and many wear knuckle wraps because of the amount of time they spend crawling through tight areas. Many Lefants have developed bright and colorful eyes that have adjusted to help them see better in the dark as well as hone in on small moving targets. Unlike their Wasteland cousins however, Lefants are not as soft-spoken; instead tending to act like theapex predators and 'top of the food chain' for the local underground region that they are. They do, however, tend to remain silent until it's their time to strike, in both physical and social encounters.
