Farooq's Elephant Emporium

Located on a few acres of land just across the road from Jarooq's Camel Emporium, this business occupies a similar footprint, with the few acres of land surrounded by some high wooden fencing, some of the posts as thick as mature tree trunks, as indeed, they're made from felled trees and sunk deeply into the ground. This gives the emporium somewhat of a 'fortress' feeling, but given it's business, it serves well to both protect and keep enclosed it's product!

A twenty meter wide, eight meter deep, about five meter tall wooden structure of fairly boxy design dominates the front part of the property, facing the roadway. With a set of oaken steps leading to double, heavy wooden doors, tall enough to comfortably accommodate a Goliath wandering into it's interior. Inside, a fine series of wooden floorboards, wall panels, and even what appears to be intricate crown molding around the rim of the ceiling. An elaborate set of curtains draped around windows and between spaces in the interior spaces out what might be almost 'cubicles' of workspace to each side, but the center of the room is adorned with an elaborate teak desk, a comfortable looking mahogany chair sat behind it, with a handful of similar dark wooden chairs arrayed facing the desk from the door's side.

But what is a room without it's proprietor? Farooq is a dusky skinned, middling-height human of average build, smooth complexion, with a bushy, black beard and a turbaned head, leaving question as to if there was any hair beneath. In colorful robes that seem to match his office's curtained interior and his turban, he's got a quick wit, friendly demeanor, and is willing to offer a great deal to any and all of 'his friends' that come in through the door. Seeming to have a regular understanding with the primary employer of the city, B.A.S.E., he is happy to offer payment plans that go against any adventuring mission's payment.

What of course is on offer, but for what's in the name! Elephants, and their requisite saddles, feed and even huge pack-saddle bags that can carry the feed required for the great beasts, and possibly more! Being the only provider for these magnificent creatures within Driftriver, and given their wildly exotic nature, he does charge a premium on the sale of these creatures, with the expense of purchasing any elephant, exotic saddle, or other objects for use with your new elephant at a 50% up charge over listed PHB/DMG pricing. - However, this does come with a warranty to repair damage to saddles and bags, as well as the option to stable your new elephant when at home in Driftriver.

However friendly Farooq may be, or whatever deals that might be offered... he looks awfully familiar to any that've been to another 'arooq' emporium or service location... perhaps it's just cousins?
