Mental characteristics

Una doesn't talk much about her life before being a part of B.A.S.E. and doesn't personally care to. If asked, she will skillfully deflect any questions. She does this typically by either returning the conversation to that of the current mission or just simply explaining that she is busy with other B.A.S.E.-related tasks and does not have time for small talk at the moment.

Education

Una was homeschooled most of her life. Her father was a traveling merchant, resulting in her being unable to remain in one place for very long. Whenever her family stopped in a new city, her father would buy her a book in the local language. During the long travels between cities, she would immerse herself into these books and learn as much as she could so that when she arrived in the different cities, she could talk with the locals and help her father with his business.

Over many years, she learned many languages. Her father would tell her "A customer that you can't communicate to is a customer lost." Una took this to heart and spent much of her time learning as many languages as possible and talking to as many people in those languages as she possibly could. By the age of 15, she had already mastered 13 different languages. Her language skills, social skills, and professionalism only managed to grow from there.

At the age of 21, she left the family business and worked as a translator in Tasseldale and Sembia before eventually helping Clifford establish Driftriver and B.A.S.E. in 1486 DR.

Employment

Shortly after establishing B.A.S.E., Clifford hired Una as the first of the thirteen original staff members of B.A.S.E. Una got hired on due to her loyalty to Clifford's vision, her friendly personality, and her unbreakable work ethic.

Una runs the front desk of B.A.S.E. and directs B.A.S.E. agents to where they should be to move forward with their mission. Oftentimes, she is the only employee that B.A.S.E. agents need to interact with the get their mission started. She can be found at her desk at any point in the day, every day of the week. This results in her occasionally being overworked and feeling a bit tired. This has lead to multiple outsiders questioning if she ever sleeps. Nonetheless, she manages to keep her cheerful, warm, and professional demeanor towards any who require her services.

Intellectual Characteristics

Una is versed in a wide array of knowledge but isn't an expert in any particular field. However, Una is fluent in almost every modern humanoid language on Toril. She takes great pride in this fact but rarely gets the chance to boast about it. Should she be spoken to in a language that she knows other than common, she will skillfully and enthusiastically adjust to allow ease of communication.

Taboos

While typically calm and collected, Una's composure breaks down should an individual mess with her desk or her work. Due to this, she is very strict about being the only person behind her desk. Only a few other members of B.A.S.E. staff are grudgingly allowed behind Una's desk. Should someone go behind her desk will ask the bothersome individual to step away kindly at first, but she will quickly become more aggressive and forceful if the bothersome individual persists. Her patience will become particularly short should the individual in question mess with the organization of her files.

Una additionally gets mildly annoyed at more experienced members of B.A.S.E. who insist on asking her for everything. She believes that they should know better and will often treat the individual with cold annoyance before directing them in the correct direction. She is much more patient with less experienced B.A.S.E. members.

Social

Religious Views

Una follows the general Faerûnian pantheon, asking whoever she sees fit for the situation for guidance. She doesn't concern herself with the conflicts within the pantheon. During her youth, her family followed Waukeen closely, but now she pays tribute to almost all of the deities equally.

Social Aptitude

Una gives off a constantly welcoming aura that invites people in to talk to her. She tries her best to be as helpful and professional as possible, but she is known to keep a bit of a grudge against those who have slighted her or taken advantage of her helpfulness. When someone annoys her, she will start to add more sarcasm into her speech. Should she become particularly annoyed, she will simply storm off.

Mannerisms

Una will typically stand up straight with her head up when addressing a B.A.S.E. member. When she isn't managing files, she often has her hands relaxed in front of her. If she is annoyed, she will instead lean over her desk and speak softly to the annoying individual. When she does this, she will add a bit of sarcasm or prodding into her words.
