The Muslim Conquests are in full swing and the Visigoths have managed what the Vandals nor Byzantines could not: Stopping the Muslims in their tracks. In the north, Europe is stabilizing as the Franks have solidified a tenuous peace with the other Germanic tribes while the Saxons look East at carving out their own empire across the North European Plain. Britannia continues to be dominated by the conflict between the Danes and the Anglo Saxons, while in the North the Scots and Celts continue to push the Picts north. In the East, The Muslims reign supreme as their forces conquered the weakened Persia and the Levantine Vassal States. Constantinople, led by now Emperor Justinian II who's efforts to fortify Anatolia during his co-emperorship with Constantine IV, has spared him the ire of the military. Now, with nearly all their budget going to the maintenance of a fleet and line of fortresses to hem the Muslims in, Byzantium waits, knowing that something is about to happen, but not knowing the time. In the South, The Vandals are locked behind the fortress walls and canal of Carthogo, known now as Vandalia, as it is the last bastion of the Vandals on the African continent. The Battle of Carthago is the only thing that spared the Vandals from annihilations as they successfully held off the Muslim Invaders through three separate assaults. Finally in the East, The Visgoths have changed their tune, half a century of relative peace has given way to a more bellicose king. The Current king of the Visigoths Led his own Navy in defence of Cathago and The battle of Gibraltar successfully pushing Tariq ibn Ziyad out off the Peninsula before the capture of any major city.
