Kingdom of Breland
History
Breland was formed by Galifar in the early days of the Kingdom. His daughter Brey ir'Wynarn lent her name to the province that she would rule in her father's name.
Demography and Population
Breland is primarily a human nation. Immigration from Zilargo and the Mror holds has built up a fair population of other species. Immigration from the other nations has increased since the signing of the Treaty of Thronehold. Droaam used to be a province of Breland, but was taken by the forces of the Daughters of Sora Kel. Droaamite species are not common in Breland, but they can be found in enclaves in the major cities and in wilderness areas in the west and south.
Military
The military of Breland is modern by the standards of Khorvaire. The primary combat soldier is a mixture of shield-bearing close combat specialists and shard gun wielding fire support. Cavalry are composed of Vadalis-supplied horse and hippogriff.
Religion
The majority of Breland adheres to the faith of the Sovereign Host.
Foreign Relations
Breland enjoys close ties with Zilargo. The other nations stand in a cold war against Breland. Breland's own political upheaval represents a potential situation to be exploited.
