Krystalloise

The burrowing Krystalloise forges its home in deep, subterranean caverns. Though they lack traditional claws, they use their shovel-like fins to burrow through the softer soils, using strength that defies expectations. They make their homes in natural caverns or in those hollowed out by other creatures, often licking at rocks and stalagmites for minerals that their body needs for sustenance and energy. These jewel-like reptiles possess a tough body made of crystals that make them resilient against predators, but it's not only predators who hunt them; their glittering shells and carapaces are coveted for their beauty and rarity and sought out for their use in jewelry.
