Vinebit

In the world of international espionage, Vinebit is a name that strikes fear and respect into the hearts of its enemies. It is a leading organization, with an extensive network of private detectives and spies who are experts in digging up dirt on anyone who crosses their path. Vinebit is known for its surveillance, espionage, and stealth technology, which allows agents to enter camouflage states, corrupt or distort data, gather vital information, and escape undetected.

While Vinebit actively seeks to foster positive relations with other corporations and nations, many are hesitant to trust them to any extent. Thus, most of their business comes from independent agents, corporations, or nations looking to sabotage the competition. Vinebit primarily relies on Tempest for protection, but its agents are given some training in close quarters combat, blades, and evasion. However, the organization prefers its agents to avoid confrontation to the best of their abilities, as they deal in information, not death.

Unlike Tempest, many members of Vinebit are selected at a very young age. This is done because most skills necessary to have a chance of entering the Tempest organization are engrained throughout one’s life in Nerthach society, but to be successful within Vinebit, a new skill set is required. From a young age, the skills necessary to succeed are taught to prospective members.

Culture

Vinebit's culture is deeply rooted in the clandestine world of espionage, secrecy, and efficiency. Members of Vinebit are expected to exhibit the following core beliefs and customs:

  • Discretion and Secrecy: Vinebit operatives are bound by a code of silence, signified by their motto. They are trained to maintain absolute confidentiality and protect their sources and methods at all costs.
  • Adaptability and Resourcefulness: Vinebit values the ability to think on one's feet and adapt to rapidly changing situations. Operatives are expected to demonstrate resourcefulness in utilizing technology, magic, and their skills to overcome obstacles and accomplish their missions.
  • Loyalty to Tempest: As a subsidiary of Tempest Group, Vinebit members are expected to be fiercely loyal to their parent organization. Their actions and operations are conducted with the ultimate goal of advancing Tempest's interests and maintaining its dominance.

Operational Philosophy

At Vinebit, the pursuit of information is an art form, and their operatives are akin to skilled artists. They possess an unwavering commitment to their clients and a dedication to uncovering the truth in a world shrouded in deception and manipulation. Vinebit agents excel in adapting to various environments, seamlessly blending in with their surroundings while employing a vast repertoire of technical expertise and combat skills.

Specializations

Vinebit operatives undergo rigorous training, honing their skills in cybernetic manipulation, hacking, social engineering, and the subtle arts of seduction and manipulation. They are masters of subterfuge and excel in exploiting the weaknesses of individuals and organizations alike. Additionally, Vinebit's expertise in technological warfare allows them to manipulate digital networks, breach high-security systems, and covertly alter or extract sensitive information.

Public Agenda

Vinebit's public agenda revolves around its reputation as a provider of specialized intelligence and surveillance services. While their clientele includes independent agents, corporations, or nations seeking competitive advantages, Vinebit publicly presents itself as an organization that values information security, privacy, and maintaining a delicate balance in the realm of international relations.

History

Vinebit was not founded until centuries after the Nerthach arrived on Abatesh Island, and emerged alongside numerous other corporations. Seen as an up-and-coming rival to the megacorporations of the capital city Men'lind, Vinebit became a target for such organizations. Seeing an opportunity to both increase their influence and impose their wealth and power over their competitors, Tempest Group purchased the majority of Vinebit shares. With this purchase, Vinebit found itself at the forefront of Nerthach society.

Serving as the information collection, surveillance, and espionage wing of Tempest, Vinebit redefined the definition of spywork. Under the current control of Iethre Birinzen, nicknamed the "Spider", Vinebit has experienced a renaissance. Business began to rapidly expand and, in some cases, the information flowing in was more than the organization could contain at the time. However, this issue was quickly remedied.

In tandem with Tempest, Vinebit stands as one of the most influential and profitable organizations in Nerthach society.

Love the placement of a Spymaster between the Director and the divisions.

What's even coolor, imo, is that USUALLY the Spymaster and the Director are one in the same. But not always. The Spymaster should have extreme familiarity with the lifestyle in order to run a successful business built on it... CEO's (as we know), don't always have that experience :P

Oooo, I love these guys. I think the organisation set up picture is great, and I love the fact that there's three sub divisions. Are they different in any way?   Also, your notification message is such a mood.

I haven't fully fleshed these guys out yet, as most of these SC articles are just the foundation of my ideas to be expanded on when there's more time, but my plans are that their training won't necessarily be different (aside from the Disú Zhile), but their area of focus will differ for obvious reasons. That might change as they're developed a bit more, tho!
