Historic Fantasy
Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a British writer, who created the character Sherlock Holmes—arguably the most famous detective in literature. His body of work extends beyond the realm of detective fiction, however, encompassing historical novels, plays, romances, poetry, non-fiction, and science fiction. Conan Doyle was a prolific writer whose other works include the science fiction adventure "The Lost World" and historical novels such as "The White Company." In addition to his writing, he was a passionate advocate for justice and involved himself in several cases where he felt innocent people had been wrongfully convicted.
