Queen Victoria
Historic Fantasy
Alexandrina Victoria (a.k.a. The Grandmother of Europe)
Queen Victoria was the monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1837 until her death. Her reign of 63 years and seven months, which is longer than that of any of her predecessors, is known as the Victorian era. It was a period of industrial, cultural, political, scientific, and military change within the United Kingdom, and was marked by a great expansion of the British Empire. Victoria was the last of the House of Hanover and gave her name to an era, the Victorian Age. During her reign, Britain was transformed by the expansion of the railway network, the foundations of the British Empire, and profound changes in society and culture.
