1646 April 7 - Florence, Italy

Artistic creation

1646CE
7/4

As the spring heralds the rebirth of the world, my time in Florence draws to a close. The days spent with Carlo Dolci have enriched my soul, each moment a brushstroke in the portrait of my journey.

On my last day, Carlo and I revisited his studio. We reflected on our shared experiences, the conversations that had meandered through the realms of art, life, and the human condition. He gifted me a small sketch, a token of our friendship and a reminder of the insights gained.

Walking through the streets of Florence, I savored the sights and sounds of the city one last time. The sculptures, the frescoes, the laughter of the people – all seemed to echo the lessons learned and the memories made.

As I departed, the city’s skyline fading into the distance, I carried with me not just memories, but a renewed vision. Florence, with its blend of art, history, and the genius of artists like Carlo Dolci, had once again left an indelible mark on my heart.
