Dear Diary, today's entry is a bit different – it's about lending a hand, offering a shoulder, and being there for someone in need.

I met this incredible lady as my hot guide and I were heading back up the canyon. My boy called her Auntie and she was obvioulsy a fixture around here. Her spirit as strong as it was gentle, yet carrying an internal burden that would make Atlas shrug. She had this light in her eyes that spoke of resilience, but also a shadow that whispered of struggles and pain.

We walked up the trail together, walking and talking. I listened to her story, offering words of comfort, humor, and a bit of Tak-style wisdom. It's amazing how sometimes just being there, just listening, can make a world of difference. She had recently lost both of her sons in the war. I felt her pain, and the comfort came naturally. As much for me as it was for her.

As the day turned into evening, I could see the weight lifting from her shoulders, even if just a little. We shared laughs, a few tears, and moments of quiet understanding. It was a connection born from the simple act of being present, of showing up for someone when they need it most.

Before parting ways, I gave her a little something to remember our day – a small token of hope and a reminder that she's not alone in this big, crazy world.

P.S.: Am I turning into Erik? Gotta tell him, he'll get a kick out of it. Don't worry bro, it's just a phase, lol.
